ضربان ساز قابل كاشت براي اعمال تحريك همزمان دوبطني جهت هماهنگ كردن انقباضات بطني مورد استفاده قرار مي گيرد. نوعاً اين دستگاه (منظور مولد پالس) شامل دو ليد استاندارد است كه يكي بر روي دهليز راست و ديگري بر روي بطن راست قرار مي گيرد. بعلاوه يك الكترود سومي نيز داخل سياهرگ كرونري براي قرارگيري بر روي بطن چپ نيز بكار گرفته مي شود.
Implantable pacemakers that can also deliver simultaneous biventricular stimulations to synchronize ventricular contractions. Typically, the device (a dedicated pulse generator) is combined with a set of leads that include two standard leads placed in both the right atrium and the right ventricle and a third unipolar-electrode lead that is usually placed in a coronary vein (i.e., transvenously) that overlies the left ventricle. These devices add the capability of coordination (i.e., synchronization) of the left and right ventricles to obtain better pumping action. They are used for resynchronization therapy in patients with advanced heart failures (e.g., dilated cardiomyopathy) and/or serious heart-rhythm problems (e.g., ventricular dysynchrony).
