تشك مواج آبي

تشك هايي  پر شده از آب براي كاهش فشار سطح وارد شده به بيمار. اين تشكها معمولاً از كيسه هاي آب با اتصال داخلي ساخته شده اند كه در يك پوشش محكم پلاستيكي (مثلاً وينيل) قرار گرفته اند. تشك هاي آبي معمولا از طريق يك دريچه كه قابل اتصال به شلنگ هاي استاندارد مي باشد پر مي شود.  از آنها براي كاهش فشار بر روي پوست بيمار (مثلاً جلوگيري از زخم هاي ايجاد شده بر اثر فشار) استفاده مي شود

Bed mattresses filled with water to provide a pressure-reduced surface to the patient. These mattresses are typically made of several interconnected sections of water bladders enclosed in a strong plastic casing (e.g., vinyl). Water mattresses are typically filled through a valve that adapts to standard hoses; they are used to reduce pressure to the patient skin (for the prevention of pressure sores).
