پمپ پريستالتيك عمومي ترين پمپ پرفيوژن خارج اندامي است كه در سيستم باي پس قلبي ريوي استفاده مي شود. اين پمپ بكمك يك محور چرخان بطور منظم بخشي از لوله حاوي خون سرخرگ را فشرده و بدين طريق خون را به جريان مي اندازد.
The most commonly used extracorporeal perfusion pump, or arterial pump, is the peristaltic roller pump, which “milks” the blood along as rollers cyclically compress a segment of the arterial line tubing. It is designed so that one of the rollers is always in contact with the pump-head tubing, compressing it and forcing the blood forward.
